The whir of the heater kicking on.
The whistle of a readied kettle.
A cozy sweater cuddled up in the distinctive glow of a homemade fire.
Coffee in hand with leaves falling all around your feet...
It is fall.
Now that the season has turned, my question to you is: Does your closet have what it takes to be a fall fashionista?
Don't get left out in the cold this season. Let Olive & Tweed help fill the gaps in your closet and go from drab to fab!
Trends to look for:
*It is time to dust off that over the top sequined party dress, that you never seem to have an occasion to wear. But is it possible to transition this fantastic piece of art into a daytime outfit? The answer is, yes we can! Add a pair of off colored cable knit tights, an antique broach, a cardigan, a chunky ill fitting fedora and presto!
*Lace, lace, LACE! This is a hot trend to follow. Adding a hint of lace to any outfit will add the right amount of sex appeal with out being a frisky kitten. It is all about being subtle. Picture this: your boyfriends favorite, worn out band tee shirt over a long sleeve fitted lace shirt, coupled with a tight black mini skirt, patterned leggings and your dusty old hiking boots (yes, I said hiking boots, we live in Park City and all have them so why not get our use out of them)?
*Bundle up, it's cold out there! I have this personal theory that if you own a great pair of boots and a nice fitted coat, there is no need to even worry about getting dressed in the morning. You can dash into your boyfriends office to surprise him with his morning coffee....he doesn't need to know you're wearing your old New Kids On The Block sleep shirt under that great fitting jacket! To really make this look easy, add a fashionable chunky knit hat & a scarf; this will really give the appearance of going that extra mile with minimum effort. Shhhhh this is our dirty little secret.
What, you don't have all these things to make the pieces in your closet work? Well, you're in luck! We do and we are open 7 days a week to cater to all your fashion/functional needs.
